Who We Are

The Southwest Florida Eagle Cam Foundation was created by the Pritchett family (the founders of the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam) so viewers and philanthropists can donate to help maintain the cameras for future live streams and projects. Through the generous donations of viewers all around the world, we have also been able to provide financial support to programs who commit themselves for the conservation and education of wildlife.

Andy Pritchett

If you could be any wild animal what would it be and why?

To choose one would be difficult, Florida gives you the opportunity to witness countless different species that all would be worthy of a pick.

What do you enjoy doing when not working on the Eagle Cam?

As a native to Southwest Florida, we are able to enjoy the outdoors at any time of the year. Hunting in the winter, fishing in the summer and golf just about anytime I can get away.

What has been your favorite season thus far and why?

Season 1 hands down, primarily because we didn’t know what to expect. To say we have achieved our original goal would be an understatement at this point.

If you could be any wild animal what would it be and why?

I would be a bald eagle of course! They are majestic, strong, respected and so smart.

What do you enjoy doing when not working on the Eagle Cam?

When not working on the eagle cam, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband Dave, playing golf, biking and walking with our dog Millie.

What has been your favorite season thus far and why?

Season 1 with Harriet, Ozzie & eaglets Hope & Honor. It was such a learning experience for everyone and the bond those eaglets had was very special.

Christi Pritchett

If you could be any wild animal what would it be and why?

No idea…. My cocker spaniel has the life for sure!

What do you enjoy doing when not working on the Eagle Cam?

What you enjoy doing when not working on the Eagle Cam? Christi serves as the Executive Director of Lee Builders Care, a local 501c3 non-profit organization that provides emergency construction repairs for the elderly and disabled homeowners in Lee County, Florida. She also serves on several other board of directors for area non profits as a marketing and fundraising consultant. Christi enjoys the outdoors and prefers to spend her free time horseback.

What has been your favorite season thus far and why?

Season 3. Loosing Ozzie was extremely difficult, but watching Harriet select a new mate and continue the circle of life was thrilling to experience. We are blessed to have the technology that allows us to experience these types of interactions for ourselves.

Ricky Pritchett

If you could be any wild animal what would it be and why?

A south Florida whitetail because I could be so stealthy in the woods and be able to see the way other animals interact in a natural setting.

What do you enjoy doing when not working on the Eagle Cam?

Spending time outdoors with my wife and two girls.

What has been your favorite season thus far and why?

Season one because of the technological learning curve that we endured and the speculation of how the public and media would react to the live camera feed.
